Just wanted to let u know that when I called NSC IO today, she was kind enough to give my 485 Recpt # and asked me to wait a couple of weeks to get them in mail. She told me they(both my wife and mine) were just entered into the system.
Also I asked her abt my wife's pkg, she said it also got cashed, but my wife has to call to get her Recpt#.
frontlog refers to the folks who have filed between July2nd -July 16th.

Our 485/131/765 packet was mailed out on July 26th. We received all four Transfer Notices from CSC yesterday, stating that they transferred our cases to Nebraska as my I-140 was approved from LIN. Now waiting for the actual receipts to arrive from Nebraska.

Sorry to hear this news , one of my friend has the same situvation. he went back to indian (chenni Appolo) 2 years back.
Here doctors told him all BS and he spent abt 50k out of his pocket on top the insurance (he work for IBM as Full time). he was told that 2 more months so he went back to india and his parents did giveup and they went to take a secound openion he is perfectly allright now he said he will never come back to usa (some unique bactiria causes some kind of cancer i have no clue about what he told me that time and i dont remember exactly contact him raviselvam@yahoo.com or raviselvam@yahoo.co.in if you cant get hold of him contact me bhimireddy@gmail.com i will try to reach him i should have his contact info. hopd you will recover soon

I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.

Just sent money thru paypal for $51.

I know that it was requested to send in checks, so as to avoid the processing fees etc from paypal, but i thought this could be the fastest way to send money, hence hv put in $51

2007 June visa bulletin moved EB3 India to June 2003. The very next month, they made everything current. Things went out of control after that. For some reason, in my dreamland, I am fantacizing the first move to repeat again. May not make everything current, but atleast, move EB3 to june 2003.

can we file a lawsuit against USCIS for not following their own guidelines and "discriminating " against cases ?
All cases should be treated equally... don't care whether they are low hanging fruit or not... every case should be represented equally before an IO...
I dont understand why should hard to determine cases be penalized for USCIS's laziness throughout the year and then trying to speed up the process in the last two months...

I dont believe in flower/food/sos campaigns to resolve this problem...just because it worked once before doesnt mean it is going to work again..have we pursued a class action lawsuit against Department of State/Labor/USCIS for unlawful discrimination based on the country of birth in Employment Based Visas. Any idea if IV core ever took up this path? Can we attempt to do this? What are the costs involved and can we get some good lawyer representation to this goal?
We could rally in DC and consider a lawsuit, all these lawyers advertisements you see flashing on here, when are they going to come to use? I am sure they will be able to offer a good price, if not I am sure their are a lot if immigration lawyers waiting to be a part of IV community which is gaining some momentum.

No FP yet... NSC Received Date July 12, 2007 - Notice Date TSC Sept. 10, 2007. All in all, almost 6 months and no sign of a biometrics appointment... bummer.

Anyway, you are mixing two different issues. The Nepali guy came to the US on diversity grounds (no matter what his education is). US law promotes diversity, meaning faces from all over the world. Family and Employment are other two categories. In EB category, of course, higher education stands higher priority. Family and Diversity are diffrent categories with criteria.

I tend to disagree from you on your comment regarding a possible link between name check and FP. I think they are seperate processes and run in parallel - one does not depend on another. I've read somewhere that a guy's name check was initiated like a month before he went for his FP. He got that info from infopass appointment. Also, wouldn't the IOs mention about the pending name check if it was related to FP notice?
Regarding reaching a non TSC IO, I think is impossible since the call gets directed to TSC or NSC based on the receipt number that you key in when you call.
I agree with you that we'll end up getting the same damn letter as our friend about no appointment availabality at local ASC for our SR response. It seems to me that we have to try either the Infopass or just wait it out.
Has anyone thought about writing to ombdusman (if I spelled it correctly) about this FP notice issue or will that be not worth it?
Maybe we should mention to IOs next time we call that others who applied weeks after us have gotten their FP notices from our local ASC. I am not sure if it will help but worth giving it a try. Seperate effort.. what will you do in that.. again a back bench behind the alias pushing others to do something, without donating or contributing. If we have someone with leadership qualities and wants to use some social networking site for discussing EB3 issues and identifying approaches to solve the EB3 issues, there will be many EB3 folks willing to support the effort. Immivoice is just useless portal, it doesn't have open forums and the core folks here don't care for EB3. In fact, their lobbying efforts were behind USCIS changing the rule for spilling over the unused visa numbers to EB2 first. Just my 2 cents.
