You got it just right. Dear friend, this is the truth for immigrant community. Everyone here stands for their own GC, how can we expect others to fight for you. So as and when USCIS hurts different categories, people come here and form a loosely coupled organization.

in one of the threads its said that all 90 senators had agreed to pass the SKIL as against one who did not (sen sessions) and since lame duck required unanimous voting it cud not, but when the demo's bring it up early next year, they would not need an unanimous vote on it but a majority vote? so statistically it sud get through? how far off am i on this?

I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.
I have filed 485 with approved 140 back in june, 2007 with PD of March, 2003
Please help.

The culprit being subjected to Gandhigiri (Gandhi-ism: A strategy to win unjust,corrupt mind by highly unexpected pleasant deeds.)has some shame and self respect.If the target is a moron, he would slap you to death, no matter how many chances you give him.
In our case we don't even know who the culprit is (USCIS/DOS/Capitol Hill/Anti-Immigrants/Lobbyists). The only thing that would come out of these flowers is a security alarm. I know many would take this as a negative approach, but this is the most logical outcome of this deed.
On a lighter note, if sending flowers/fruits would have won hearts of the immigration officers, imagine how easy GC would be for those illegal immigrants who work in the farms.
For all those bouquets your sending... they will dismiss it as some security breach... cmon dont u know by now how USCIS is after 9-11.
They might just create panic out of innocent lovely flowers.

The tone of ur earlier posting may have hurt some people.
Some of the reforms that happened and some the IV is pursuing will probably help most H4's a long way.
Earlier (even now for those stuck in PBEC) the labor used to take 2-3 years. With PERM most of the labors r taking 4-6 months. I140 also seems to be very fast.
Now if every body is able to adjust their status upon labor approval, that is less than a year's wait time for H4. Not a bad deal.

My case was received by NSC on JUN 1st. They issued the recipt numbers on JUN 5th. I am still waiting on my wifes. They could clear on Monday.. Looks like NSC is also trying to speed up things. They are just one day slower than TSC in issuing recepts.

You are seeing it from a complete 180 degrees than I see it. It's not us who's discriminating, it is the laws which are discriminating. I am asking them to treat us all equal, I entered the country on an H1B which was an employement based application it did not hav any country quota, then why should green cards for EB have country quota. Why should a person from India wait for 10 year and a person from Romania get it in 1 year....I think your ROW friends shold understand our position.

you can see the LIN# on the back of the check. i gave my own checks for the fees.
