Thank you very very much fightnow and gsc999 for pushing this forward. As soon as we have confirmation of date and time and location/route, I will send out newsletters to all CA, NV, AZ and OR members who wish to participate. This is going to be good.
Also, I will email all Bay area newspapers and tech periodicals that legal skilled immigrants are having to run rallies on the street instead of designing the routers and the next iPhone.

Well ...if some of our members were not cheap enough, I wouldn't mind asking each of them to send individual flowers through FTD for $30.00. Given the situation where we have to badger each of our members to squeeze out $20.00 for IV contributions - cheap sense makes sense!
I've seen people spend $20 on Sivaji - The BOSS - than on spending money for some worhtwhile cause.

I just visited last month. I stayed there for 6 weeks...
Agree that economy is booking but....
(1) too much pollution.
(2) No infrastructure to handle cars and two wheeleers.
(3) too much mosquito even in winter/summer. I do not know what will happen in rainy days.
(4) prices for every item have gone up by 3X..Most of the item I am not able to justify the rise. The quality of the product has not gone up.
(5) easy to set up business..get house...get car but tough to drive peacefully...need to pray god every morning so that we come back home with 2 hands and 2 legs and unbroken body parts.
(6) Club culture is booming too...so if you have daughter who is teen then need to check by that angle too.
Just my two cents....

Talk about the Job situ, if you are out of job for a month, its a hell..but not in India.

Each IO has given me different info on different calls. Whatever they say about visa number cannot be considered true. Just say ok and move on or call back to get a different answer.

Current Employer(Comany X - "X")
Client of current Employer (Company Y - "Y")
Future Employer (Company Z - "Z")
Prerequsites:
------------
Good Relations with X
----------------------
Documents to be asked for:
--------------------------
1) 181 Days wait period
2) "Intent to hire in future" Letter on the last day of the job
3) Copy of "Employment Letter" submitted for 485
4) Copy of certified labor
5) Copy of approved I-140
6) Original 485 receipt and original receipts of AP and EAD if applicable
7) Original pay stubs for this 181 days period
Bad Relations with X
--------------------
Documents to be asked for:

All above. Copy of I-140 approval (Or just LIN/SRC No would do too),
Labor certification number and copy of 485 receipts ARE MUST.
Paystubs anyway you will get. In case if "employment letter" is not
given then try to take "Reference letter" from Y which depicts you
were working as a X's consultant with title "Job description --matching
Job Code" from this period to this period (Last day of your 181st day)
Things to be taken care of at Z side:

the above poster summarized it very good. here are some of my thoughts..
1) we can come up with a formal letter (standard one) which is well written and can be faxed to USCIS director or emailed.
2) we can also fax/email the same letter to ombudsman so that they are aware of this issue.
in my gut feeling ombudsman is as close as we can get to uscis if we need visibility to this. optionally we can use the same letter to send it to the senators/congressman.
The letter should be short, precise, upto the point, without any spelling mistakes, well written. if u look at this post itself, you could very well decide that i am not suitable for that job. can someone in eb3-I who has a good writing skill come up with such a letter and so that we can try what ever we can from our end. its every dog's battle here. and if sanyahari is fighting, its his / her right to do so. so what do u say folks?
